2020 has been a year that has been a true rollercoaster, it has hit us all left and right and we are only midway through it. From the pandemic to the continued fight of equality, the daily news has taken a toll on our mental health. It is a must that we take a step back and re-evaluate ourselves as well as our goals.
If you are not at your best, you cannot help the next person be at there’s. We are all in this together, and believe it or not, it will take each other to get through this.
Mental exhaustion can come in many forms, emotionally you may feel depressed, detached, angry, lacking motivation-physically you can have headaches, body aches, fatigued, have trouble sleeping.
It is not selfish, to focus on yourself for a change, and get the rest you deserve.
Be kind today, take a break from social media, paint a picture, read a book or magazine, check on a relative or friend just to ask, “Are you okay?”
It’s OK to put the electronics down, take a break from business and simply exhale. Be safe in this world and take care of yourself.
